Malo 43 Classic
Commissioned in 2002

Owners comments:

She was custom built for offshore cruising to the present owners’ specification. She
crossed the Atlantic in 2002 crewed by her owners and has been cruising the Caribbean
ever since, sailing in the winter months and hauled for the six months of the hurricane
season, annually. She has proved to be an exceptionally comfortable yacht for tropical
waters, having 4 large deck hatches, 4 dorade ventilators, 13 opening port lights and a
custom built cockpit bimini.

She has a super quiet generator which powers a watermaker and three battery chargers.
Constant hot water is available via a 220V calorifier for the many shower and sink outlets.
Main engine running is not required when under sail or at anchor.

She has a custom built owners' cabin with en suite heads (fresh water flush). There is also
a guest double cabin with a separate heads (salt water flush). Further sleeping
accommodation is available in the saloon or the cockpit (which can be fully enclosed)

The saloon is luxuriously equipped with two armchairs, magazine racks, bookcases and a
dining table for six. It is also equipped with DVD player with a 15” flat screen and stereo
with surround-sound.

The galley has a SMEV cooker with two burners, oven and grill. There is also a fitted
microwave and a refrigerator plus a frig / freezer. There is another frig / freezer in the
saloon. All refrigeration is by Isotherm, keel cooled.

The cockpit is generously sized with seating for eight and further seating on the aft deck.
The large uncluttered decks together with the exceptionally spacious lockers make this
yacht particularly well suited to extended cruising. There is ample stowage space for
bicycles, sun loungers, golf clubs and any amount of sailing gear including spare anchors,
mooring warps, fenders, boarding ladders and an inflatable dinghy.

The transom has a built in swim platform which is hydraulically operated from the cockpit or
can be controlled remotely. This makes for easy boarding from a dinghy, whilst at night it
can be retracted for additional security.
