This Hallberg Rassy 46 is owned by meticulous owners. Equipped to a very high standard, she won the ARC prize for safety for her Atlantic crossing. She has been so well cared for that even when left for short periods, her lines have been substituted for sacrificial ones. In addition her interior upholstery has always been covered, subsequently the interior is in as new condition, and consists of beige carpets and cream upholstery with blue piping. The saloon table and chart table have also been covered and are in pristine condition.
The saloon is extremely comfortable and has two armchairs for reading, or simply relaxing to music via the double speaker sound system.
Forward is a V berth with well thought out stowage sections, to port is a double bunk berth and to starboard a self contained heads compartment.
The aft cabin has a double berth and a single bunk along with a separate private head and shower. This gives total privacy if crew are aboard and allows a good nights sleep to the off watch by making use of the two separate bunks.
The well equipped galley has ample work surface area and is very secure at sea. High quality joinery and fixtures throughout.
Above decks she is cutter rigged with in-mast furling and is set up for easy short handed sailing. For example, the pole is light weight carbon and the cruising chute has a custom made stainless steel extension pole at the bow. A custom built kedge anchor deployment system makes for easy anchor handling and two power winches control the genoa. Additional extra winches are aft for the running backstays. A bow thruster ensures ease of handling and the watermaker allows self sufficiency whilst at sea or at anchor.
The ease and comfort theme continues with a hot water shower supply at the transom, perfect for warming up after scuba diving.
Power is supplied by maintenance free gel batteries and a Fischer Panda 8000NE HP1 7.2 Kwt generator.
A dual station Raymarine chartplotter/radar and dual station VHF allow easy and convenient navigation and communications, either from the helm or at the Nav station.
The autopilot is the upgraded twin linear drive setup that is standard on the HR53 and provides additional security for long distance sailing. This is complemented by a wind pilot Pacific Plus II self steering system.
The yacht is also equipped with SSB radio, a comprehensive offshore safety package an extending passarelle, a dinghy with a 15HP outboard, a set of quality tools and an extensive collection of Caribbean courtesy flags, charts, C-map charts and pilot books complete the ready to voyage package.
The Hallberg Rassy 46 is a particularly fine yacht, and this is a very fine example.
