Description

Oyster 47 For Sale

The Oyster 47 is the development of the successful Oyster 45, with the same proven rig and accommodation layout. Holman and Pye extended the hull and deck to allow a deep and spacious aft lazarette giving extra deck storage space.

The layout of three sleeping cabins, coupled with the deck saloon concept make her one of the most desirable configurations for a couple or family looking to embark on an extended cruising voyage.

Oyster Moon is an attractive yacht with a particularly smart interior. Well equipped for self sufficient and comfortable long distance passagemaking, sail handling is a breeze with in-mast furling and electric winches.

Upgraded in recent years, full details are in the specification section but her notable highlights include:

OWNERS COMMENTS:

We have loved owning this beautiful yacht which we bought in 2008 from her first owner.

In 2011, having upgraded and replaced much of the gear, we set off for Australia. Whilst there we unfortunately had to return at short notice for business reasons so we shipped ‘Oyster Moon Dancing in the Dart’ back on a commercial vessel.

Once ‘Oyster Moon’ was back in the UK we had Oyster take off all the anti fouling right back to the gel coat. They then re-epoxied the hull and then applied two hard coats of anti fouling followed by two coats of self cleaning anti fouling paint. The rigging was also checked.

‘Oyster Moon’ has been a wonderful home and companion. She has never let us down, whatever the weather has thrown at us. We have found her to be luxurious yet practical to live on board and easy to sail and handle at sea.
