An absolutely beautiful Rival 41c For Sale.
Gorgeous classic lines and she looks to be in a condition that is a real credit to her owners.
Well set up for blue water sailing, her interior is particularly notable with many well thought out bespoke features (see the video for a guide). She presents extremely well and looks to have been very well maintained by her present owners.

“The Rival 41 was designed by Peter Brett with a LOA 12.50m (41ft), beam 3.72m(12.3ft), draft 1.8m (5ft 11”) Displacement approx. 11 tons, ballast approx. 3.5 tons (encapsulated keel). Calidris Alba was launched in 1986, Hull number 21 moulded by Robert Ives for Rival Yachts. Moulding number SOU 2399/78.
Rival 41C “Calidris Alba” is a fast long – range cruising yacht, designed to take you to any part of the world in safety and comfort as she has for her existing owners over the past 20 years. This has included a circumnavigation and 2 further Atlantic crossings as well as the Baltic. Sailing performance is combined with superb accommodation planned for comfortable living aboard for long periods. This yacht is easily handled in all weathers, even with a small crew, for example husband and wife. The centre cockpit layout of this boat with fixed screen and spray hood provides excellent protection in both oncoming and following seas. Calidris Alba has teak cabin tops and sidedecks, a radar arch and custom designed extension around the windvane steering unit. Below decks the layout provides an owners double berth cabin aft with en suite head etc. However there is plenty of room for a larger crew and guests, with up to 8 berths, two heads, a large U shaped galley and navigation areas. Five sea berths are secure with lee cloths."

Spinflo Nelson Stainless steel gimbled Cooker is propane gas (Remote solenoid in gas locker aft of cockpit) 2 rings plus separate grill and oven. The gas locker has two 6kg Red UK propane bottles. There is space for additional and it will accept 10lb USA bottles.
Large capacity for food and other storage. Crockery, cooking pans, utensils, cutlery, storage boxes etc. are included.
Space and Comfort
The spacious accommodation, beautifully finished in teak and with dark blue Alcantara ultrasuade upholstery is designed for comfort at sea as well as harbour. There are numerous storage lockers, as well as under bunk storage, throughout the vessel (which provided well for crew of 4 across the Atlantic …although we have made other long passages with just the two of us) Both heads with Blakes Lavac toilets, have holding tanks, hot and cold pressurised water, showers and solar vents. The galley has pressurised hot and cold water, as well as manual pumps and also sea water if required. There is a good size fridge and 2 burner propane cooker with grill and oven. The wine store cabinet holds 23 bottles, and there is a custom made bookcase. Comfort includes Eberspacher (D5L 5Kw) diesel fueled hot air ducked to the 3 cabins
Domestic Batteries are 4 sealed Lead Acid (each 105 Ahr 12 volt deep cycle), separate 105 Amp Hr 12 volt engine cranking battery. 12 volt outlets in cabins. 12 volt systems are monitored by Amp Hr + unit to check volts, amps, and amp hours.There is a 240 Volt ring circuit, immersion heater in hot water calorifier (works just fine with 110 or 240 volt shore power connection)
Small 12volt to 110 volt inverter which gives computer or phone charge capability while sailing.

Pedestal mounted Rigal Steering Compass, with back light.
Mast head LED navigation and anchor lights, Low level Navigation lights, Mast mounted steaming and deck lights.
Speed log, depth and wind Instruments are Navtex Clipper, with cockpit GPS repeater.
GPS Garmin 158i for navigation, and a Garmin GPS72 which only feeds to the Standard Horizon GX2100 VHF to provide the GPS signal needed for the AIS reception. There is a VHF cockpit extension.
