Covid 19 April 2021 Update

Tuesday 13th April 2021

We are pleased that the recent restrictions are beginning to be lifted and hopeful that we may continue on the road map to eventual normality.

From the 12th of April, non-essential retail (under which used boat brokerage falls), may re-open with Covid Secure Protocols in place.

We look forward to welcoming you back and will have the following measures in place for those wishing to inspect one of our yachts.

  • All yachts will be isolated for 72 hours before and after your visit.
  • Facemasks must be worn and hand sanitiser will be provided.
  • 2m Social Distancing.
  • Only one household per visit. (Or as per current Government guidelines).
  • Our brokers will open and air the yacht however they will not accompany you down below. Instead they will be available at a safe distance to talk you through the features and systems of the yacht.

Important Note

All of our yachts are berthed at their owner’s home port in numerous marinas along the UK South Coast and are not in one central location, but are sometimes several hours from our offices, so in order for us to manage the logistics pre-booked appointments with notice are essential.

Due to the travel times from our offices and as the yachts will be isolated for long periods before and after any visit, requests for a private view should only be made when the yacht is on your radar as a potential purchase and you would be in a position to proceed at or near the yacht’s advertised budget if she proves suitable.

If this is not yet the case and you are at an earlier stage in your search, the vast majority of our yachts now have online video tours allowing you to assess the layout and potential suitability from the comfort of your own home before committing to a private view.

Please do not travel if you have symptoms or are isolating and please continue to monitor and follow the Government Guidelines.

In the meantime we wish you a good and happy sailing season.
