The Malo 36 is a favourite of ours as she packs so much usable accommodation into a 36ft package and is a true go anywhere yacht. With her sweet sheer line, encapsulated keel, medium displacement and well thought-out deck, the Malo 36 has all the hallmarks of a purposeful cruising yacht.

Practical detailing and superior Swedish craftsmanship merge to give her a striking appearance and she feels large for a 36ft yacht.

This particular example is known to us and has been well cared for by her current owners (since 2016) and is in only her third ownership after light use by her original purchaser.

VAT paid and well equipped including a Bow Thruster, Heating, Hydrovane and a Copper Coated hull, her full details are in the specification section but her highlights include:

OWNERS COMMENTS:

Stardust is the standard 36, with the reverse transom, double berth forward, dinette to port, but with the addition of the folding table that is standard in the 39, forward facing seat at the nav desk, double berth cabin aft with a row of three lockers on the inboard side. Teak decks, and extra bow roller, a Samson post on the foredeck, single backstay, with the folding ladder offset and the Hydrovane in the centre [which makes it easier to board from the stern, as the Hydrovane is useful as hand- and foot-hold].

Throughout my ownership we have rigorously updated, serviced and replaced where necessary.

We have cruised extensively from Southern Brittany , the far West Coast of Ireland, and the Hebrides and West Coast of Scotland. Stardust is very well equipped for double handed sailing, especially since we added the Solent rig, allowing the use of a reefing working jib, a Genoa for lighter weather, and the two can be combined as twin running headsails, all controlled from the cockpit.

Motoring performance from the powerful engine improved significantly when we replaced the Kiwi prop with a Flexofold in 2019.

She is a superbly comfortable and capable offshore cruiser.
