Description

Malo 42 For Sale

Galadriel was the last Malo 42 to be built and is still in her first ownership.

She is thoughtfully fitted out for offshore, extended live-aboard cruising and is easy to sail short-handed. She has a bow thruster and an electric winch in the cockpit, making handling easy and straightforward.

Down below she is spacious and well laid out, with two double cabins and two heads. The large fwd master/owner's stateroom is an attractive space to sleep and relax and she has a slightly bigger galley and aft heads than the standard Malo 42, so she is particularly comfortable.

Her interior is finished to typical Scandinavian standards with high quality mahogany joinery, blue upholstery in the saloon (2015) and white Corian worktops.

Well equipped for self-sufficiency and long-distance communications she should rise rapidly to the top of any blue water shortlist.

More details are in the full specification section but her notable highlights include:

New replacement standing rigging scheduled for Jan 2021
New main and genoa by North Sails in 2018

Galadriel is a proven safe long distance, blue water boat. Designed and set up to be sailed by one or two people with occasional guests, you do not have to leave the cockpit to sail her.
The ground tackle can be handled by one. The folding prop and rope cutter allows her to sail quickly and motor safely.
