This is the MK2 version of the renowned Bill Dixon Moody 38. The MK 2 has a single heads but a larger longitude galley running down the starboard side.
Manufactures description:
"The Moody 38 is an evolutionary development of Moody's design principles. She is, in every way, a fine introduction to the Moody definition of performance cruising.
The Moody 38 is certainly fast. Her centre cockpit performance hull, designed by Bill Dixon, has a long waterline to reduce resistance for fast passage times across the full range of conditions. She is stable and stiff under sail, thanks to the balanced water plane and flared hull sections aft.
She is also easily sailed by two people. All the principal sail controls are to hand in the cockpit – including single line reefing for the mainsail – and she is surprisingly light on the helm. "
This particular example does have some gel coat wear to the cockpit/coachroof and would benefit from some minor revarnishing/general updating but is a well equipped example of this sought after later model 38ft cruising yacht.
She is fitted with the larger 56hp Yanmar engine and also has a stainless stern arch, 4.68 kW Diesel Generator, Airbreeze Wind Generator and Raymarine Axiom 12 chart plotter with Raymarine Doppler Radar and AIS.

OWNERS PERSONAL COMMENTS:
Most of our passage sailing is as a single handed/couple, with each taking over the watch. Barbarick is easily solo sailed. The two of us enjoyed the night passages to the Isles of Scilly last year and the Channel Isles and northern France, the year before Covid. We sail every weekend, all year round, what ever the weather and before Covid had enjoyed three New Year Eve celebrations in Yarmouth, with family. Barbarick is equally at home anchored in Studland with adult children enjoying a weekend sail, dinghy beach rides and hot showers on the bathing platform.

Please note all of our listed yachts are privately owned and berthed at their owner's home port in different marinas along the UK south coast and are not located at one central office.
Therefore, for private views, we will drive to the yacht's individual marina location to meet you at a pre-arranged day and time. As the yachts are sometimes several hours drive along the coast, requests for private appointments are for serious enquiries only and should be made only when the yacht is on your radar as a potential purchase.
In the meantime, the majority of our yachts now have online video tours, allowing you to assess the yacht's layout and potential suitability from the comfort of your home, before booking a private view.
