Oyster 42 for sale - Electric winches and recent new standing rigging and sails.
The Oyster 42 is a particularly attractive design and one of the few aft cockpit modern generation Oysters. A quality cruising yacht she is capable of traveling far and wide, yet is well balanced and very easy to handle by just two.
Well received by the Yachting Press – both Yachting World and Yachting Monthly had this to say when the 42 was reviewed.
'The 42's natural advantage starts with the fact that her cockpit is well laid out. Add to this the positive and direct action of the helm, and her well balanced feel under sail, and you have a sweet, well behaved yacht which is a doddle to handle'. - Yachting World.
'The whole interior has a satisfying feeling of quality.' - Yachting Monthly.
This particular example was moulded in 1997 and completed and launched in 1998. Her current owners purchased her in 2011 and extensively re-fitted her for blue water cruising in 2012/14, including an additional furling jib to give her a Slutter Rig configuration.
She is well equipped with electric winches and recent new standing rigging and sails. Full details are in the specification section but her highlights include:

OWNERS COMMENTS:
We bought Oystermist 5 years ago to cruise the USA and Caribbean, she has been perfect for the task. She is built to the standard you would expect from the brand. She is set up for full time cruising and will cross oceans in comfort. With good tankage, self-sufficiency in power and water you will be able to visit remote locations without a concern.
