The Rustler 36 is a strong, fast and very capable blue water cruiser with many yachts having achieved notable voyages around the world.

Altair is owned by a fellow OCC member and she has taken him across the Atlantic to the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, where he enjoyed cruising between the islands before returning to the UK.

Well equipped for blue water sailing she is easily sailed by just two (or single handed) and has all the desirable long distance kit such as self steering, wind and water generators, solar, water maker and long range radio.

Along many new upgrades (including a new reconditioned Yanmar) she also has a beautiful craftsman/custom interior by MB Yachts which was fitted in 1999/2000.

A superb sailing yacht, with a very comfortable almost unmarked interior, she would make an ideal blue water cruiser or a smart family yacht for local cruising.

Viewing is highly recommended.

Altair is a marvellous sea boat perfectly set up for, and at home in the open ocean. I was 68 when I did the last Atlantic crossings(single handed). Not being a particularly macho fellow, this is testament to the boat & how well she is set up. She’s a lovely boat, & I’m sad to sell her, but now it's time for someone else or a family to enjoy some happy cruising in her.
